Friday 27th October - walks **** – Sunrise at Felixstowe Ferry and prom stroll - foggy start with sun then rain with sunny afternoon.

With light winds and fog forecast first thing I decided to get up early and drive down to Felixstowe Ferry to catch the sunrise parking just before 7.30. I walked through the Sailing Club to the River Deben and it wasn’t as foggy as I hoped but still nice, the tide was whizzing in but I managed to walk along the shingle to the end taking some pics of the moored boats. I spoke to a fisherman about to set off with his lovely dog to check his lobster pots at Shingle Street before walking back to near the Martello Tower as the sun started to break free of the clouds just as the little fishing boat headed up the coast and I got some super pics of the foggy boat with sunshine too:) I then returned to the end of the boatyard again with the sun now on the boats and the wate and sky a lovely blue:) I then drove back via The Fludyers where I stopped as it was picture perfect, flat blue sky, sunshine and half of the dock cranes shrouded in fog, I managed to get one of these pics on BBC’s Look east and the pic of Mag biking through the puddle at the Ferry continues to be on BBC’s weather for the week ahead, my best ever month for TV pics:) I made it home just before the rain arrived which lasted all morning again:( After lunch with the rain gone and some sunshine Mag and I set off on a walk, first to the post office then down past Havest House to the prom. We ambled to the pier with several familes enjoying the nice weather on the beach:) Then home for a welcome cuppa, the weekend is looking breezy so hope to get out windsurfling as its been awhile!
